A Bachelor of Arts, he has served in various editorial positions, including assistant editor of the national weekly Blitz, city editor and chief reporter of The Daily, editor and publisher of law magazine Lex et Juris, and editor and publisher of Gentleman Group of magazines.

Mr. Davar is also a widely recognised name in the field of journalism with his articles published in reputed newspapers such as The Times of India, Economic Times, Indian Express, and magazines like Business Standard, Outlook, India Today and The Week.

Currently, Mr. Maneck Davar serves as the Chairman and Managing Director of Spenta Multimedia Private Limited, India's largest custom magazine publisher which started its operations in April 1995.

Mr. Maneck Davar is associated with several public organizations, highlighting his commitment to community service. Chairman and Trustee of The Society for the Protection of Children in Western India. President of Society for Human and Environment Development (SHED). Mrs. Shalini Piramal has been serving as the Managing Director of Kemp & Company Limited since March 2015.

A graduate in Arts and Diploma in Fashion Designing, Mrs. Piramal brings extensive experience in the real estate sector, with a strong interest in the purchase, sale, and leasing of properties. At Kemp & Company Limited, she oversees the management of commercial real estate in Central Mumbai (Prabhadevi), where the company licenses office spaces to various corporate clients. In addition, she manages retail operations in Delhi and Kolkata, which include stores retailing premium travel goods across all brands of VIP Industries Limited.

Mrs. Piramal is actively involved in CSR initiatives, especially in Bagar, Rajasthan, and contributes to charitable causes through her roles as Trustee of the Priyastree Foundation, Dilip Piramal Education Trust, Smriti Charitable Trust, Lalita Charitable Trust, and the Smt. Pushpadevi Gangadhar Makharia Charitable Trust.

She served as President of the Indian Merchants’ Chamber Ladies Wing in 2015 and led the Parent Community Association of the American School of Bombay from 2021 to 2023.

Mr. Dilip Piramal

Mr. Dilip Piramal is the Chairman Emeritus of VIP Industries Limited (“VIP”) and pioneered the formation of the moulded luggage industry in India in 1971. Today, VIP is the world’s second largest luggage company and the largest luggage manufacturer in the world.

Mr. Piramal was the President of the IMC Chamber of Commerce & Industry in 2015-16. He is a former President of The Organization of Plastic Processors of India (OPP), the All India Plastic Manufacturers Association (AIPMA) and was the youngest President of the Rotary Club of Bombay Mid-Town in 1981-82.

Mr. Satyen Dalal

Mr. Satyen Dalal was born in Mumbai, India in a business family. His father Mr. Bhupendra Dalal is one of the most respected stock broker and industrialist in India. Mr. Satyen Dalal completed his formal education from Shapwick Senior School, Somerset, U.K., GCSE and has acquired a Degree in Business Studies from Yeovil College, Yeovil, Somerset U.K.

At the age of 21 he joined FB Clark Insurance in the United Kingdom to gain experience in the capital markets in the UK. He subsequently travelled to Dubai and spent two years in Sharjah working for Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi as an advisor in his investment company and finally returned to India and decided to gain some experience in the retail business which was booming at the time as India had just opened up to globalization. He got along with him, a master franchise of ST Dupont - a French manufacturer of luxury pens, diaries and accessories. He managed to raise capital to have a total of 16 outlets in India in a span of two years. Once this was established, he set up India’s first luxury furniture business, selling Saporiti sofas from Italy, Chateau dax from Italy, Sauder from America and Flexa from Denmark, the world’s largest children’s furniture. In the year 2003, both these businesses ST Dupont and the furniture business, were merged into India’s leading large scale departmental store company, The Bombay Store which was also promoted by his family. Mr. Satyen Dalal looked after the expansion of the main company right up to the year 2007 and subsequently in the year 2007 he started the wealth management / investment banking business in India under the name First Overseas Capital Ltd., a Category 1 Merchant Banking company. Between the year 2007 and 2018, he has successfully completed 50 IPOs, 5 high profile merger and acquisition deals and 3 cross border deals.

On a personal level, Mr. Dalal has multiple investments out of India. He has an office in Cameroon in Central Africa dealing in trading and project management, trying to develop a hospital for the government with collaboration from India. He owns a few restaurants in London and has a large presence with the people who work in the capital market in the UK and the UAE for raising capital for upcoming businesses in India and other parts of the world.

Prior to Arpwood, he was associated as an Vice President at Kotak Investment Banking from 2007 to 2014, focusing on financial sponsors and private equity transactions. He was also been awarded with Economic Times’ Young Leader recognition in 2014.
